sqlite-utils 4.2
Blog · Watch/Read
- Simon Willison announced the release of
sqlite-utils 4.2, an update to his Python CLI utility and library for manipulating SQLite databases. - The core improvement in this release is to the
table.transform()feature, which now preserves a much larger array of edge-case schema definitions—including check constraints, unique constraints, and column comments—during complex alter table operations. - The update also adds new introspection properties for check constraints and incorporates contributions from several developers.
- A critical note for users is that
sqlite-utils 4.2initially contained a crashing bug, which was promptly fixed in the subsequent4.2.1release.
