Adtech Vertical Gets a Second Entrant; Catalog Passes 950 #

  • ProPush.me Launches MCP Connector, Letting Publishers Manage Monetization Through Claude, ChatGPT, and Other AI Agents (Yahoo Finance/press wire, 2026-07-30/31) — Remote MCP connector (no install) lets ad-network publishers check balances, pull filterable performance reports (by date/country/zone/site/OS/affiliate/traffic direction), and search documentation from inside Claude, ChatGPT, or other agents via OAuth — explicit design constraint: responds only to explicit prompts, no background activity or autonomous decisions. Second adtech-vertical connector this journal has tracked, after PropellerAds (2026-07-27) — enough to describe adtech/publisher-monetization as an emerging connector sub-vertical rather than a one-off, following the same shape as the credit-intelligence and market-research sub-verticals already tracked.
  • Connector catalog count update (per Anthropic’s MCP 2026-07-28 blog post) — Anthropic now states “over 950 MCP servers” in Claude’s connectors directory, “used by millions of people every day,” up from the 841 figure (per community tracking) cited in the 2026-07-29 gather — continued rapid growth in the week following the MCP 2026-07-28 spec release, though this is Anthropic’s own directory figure rather than the community-tracked awesome-claude-connectors count, so the two aren’t a strict apples-to-apples comparison.

Meta-observations #

  • Method note: This cycle’s keyword sweep (all seven config keywords plus both watch authors) mostly returned material already captured in the 2026-07-29 gather or earlier — expected for a 3-day window in a topic whose biggest recent story (MCP 2026-07-28, the consumer connector wave) was itself only just covered. Several backfill candidates surfaced (PureSpectrum market-research connector, June 1; ASSISTments free K-12 connector, mid-July; Abacor, June 4) but were excluded as forced/low-signal: PureSpectrum adds to an already-tracked vertical (market research, after YPulse) without new pattern information, and ASSISTments is one of the already-covered “9 EdTech connector partners” bundled into the 2026-07-18 Claude for Teachers entry rather than a standalone development.
  • Noise pattern: Consistent with prior gathers’ flagged pattern, most PR-newswire-style connector announcements surfaced this cycle (Firm360, Aiwyn, Lucid, Scite, others — all dated weeks ago and already implicitly covered by the “individual entrants no longer carry independent signal” finding) did not meet the bar for inclusion.
