- ICON partners with Anthropic to integrate Claude AI in clinical trials (Clinical Trials Arena) — Multi-year collaboration embedding Claude into ICON’s “Orbis” agentic platform for four capabilities: site selection/study planning, real-time enrollment-risk prediction, protocol design/scenario modeling to cut amendments and speed startup, and embedding clinical expertise directly into client systems. Scope extends beyond trial operations — org-wide role-based rollout (Claude Code for developers, Claude Science for clinical/scientific staff, general Claude for knowledge teams). A second clinical-trials-specific deployment alongside the existing Optum healthcare tie-up, but the first framed specifically around trial operations rather than claims/revenue-cycle work.
